We have a twelve-foot high cactus like plant in our home, a night blooming cereus called
Queen of the Night
(Epiphyllum Oxypetalum). It produces two or more Flowers a few times during the summer. The 8" diameter creamy white blossoms start to open around 10 p.m., come to a full bloom by midnight, filling the house with an intensely haunting fragrance and then slowly shrivel and die.
